Excellent example of a M42 SS helmet.  This is a size 64 shell with a lot number of either 6716 or 6713.  This is a NS Shell.

This helmet does contain some of the original finish on the outside and original finish on the inside.  The outside was redone (repainted) in a nice light green camo.  The camo was added to still have some of the original finish coming through the paint.  Finishing off the patina is some beautiful rust coming up through the paint.

There was an SS Decal added and aged to match the condition of the helmet.  There was also a name added into the inside of shell "Kuhn".  Both inside and outside aging match showing how a true combat helmet should look.

The chinstrap is a reproduction.  The liner is has a name and regiment written on it and is nicely aged.

Nice filler piece into any collection.
